GARLAND MIRROR

It's always worth looking at something you already have with fresh eyes.  I transformed this bare wood mirror with a delicate garland of free hand flowers.  We agreed the red from the wall light shades and the client then gave me free rein with the design.  I washed the base with a chalky emulsion, scratched it back, painted the garland outline in gesso before finally adding the colour details.
