PERSIAN ROSE DRAWERS

This was the perfect fit for a clients alcove, on a stairwell landing.  A pretty shape, but with peeling mahogany veneer, it lacked charm.  We decided to take the colour inspirations from her dramatic wall hanging.  I painted the carcass in Persian Rose pink, drawers and highlights in Etruscan Red, all @craigandrosepaints, then rubbed over the Etruscan with a bespoke glaze to give it some texture.  Finished in dead flat varnish to give it a 'soft' look.  New modern brass ring pull handles retain a nod to it's period origins.
